BEHAVIOR:
In your child’s PURPLE CW/HW/TESTS Folder (stays in backpack-brought back & forth daily), you will see their Behavior Chart. If your child receives any marks that day, then I will mark the chart accordingly and you need to initial that you saw it. If you see a purple stamp, that means they did not get any marks on the chart that day. Make sure the chart comes back daily.
PLEASE CHECK NIGHTLY and Initial that you saw each day!!!
There is a set of “Buckets” that are used for behavior. EVERYONE starts each day on FABU-purple=no marks. If they receive mark-after warnings- they move down one bucket. Each clip move is a mark for the day. I write why they got a mark on their chart in their Purple Folder. At the end of the week –if they have 4 purple stamps=1 piece of candy and 5 purple stamps= 2 pieces of candy.
I record these marks on a behavior chart that begins fresh each week. At the end of each 9 weeks, I tally the marks to record their grade.
GRADE:
0 – 9 = A=O
10 – 18 = B=S
19 – 27 = C=N
28 – 36 = D=U
37 – UP = F=U
THESE MARKS ARE CUMULATIVE, MEANING, THEY ARE TOTALLED FOR THE ENTIRE 9 WEEKS. EACH WEEK BEGINS WITH NO MARKS, BUT ANY FROM PREVIOUS WEEKS ARE STILL BEING COUNTED TOWARDS THEIR REPORT CARD GRADE.
I’m sure as the weeks progress, and maturity increases, the issue of getting marks will not be a problem.
PBIS CHARMS- Please be aware that any student who receives 4 or more marks during the “charming period about 4 weeks” will NOT receive a charm!
